背面描述	Nike, the winged goddess of Victory, stands facing left in three-quarter view, her large, fully spread wings prominently displayed behind her. She is draped in a chiton and extends her right arm forward, holding a naval standard or stylis, while her left arm holds the wing at her side. To the left of the figure, a vertical stylis (naval symbol) is visible in the field. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs vertically along the right field, identifying the coin as issued in the name of Alexander. The composition is characteristic of the Salamis mint type as catalogued under Price 3137.

附加信息	Salamis was the dominant city-state on Cyprus and the first to defect to Alexander following his Phoenician campaign — the mint here was essentially a reward for that early loyalty, authorized to strike in Alexander's name almost immediately after the island's submission in 332 BC. Pumiathon, the last king of Kition, was executed for holding out; Nikokreon of Salamis was not. Price 3137 is a well-documented emission from this short-lived authority. The series closed with Alexander's death in 323 BC, after which Cypriot mint production was reorganized under the Diadochi.
