Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, depicted in the Attic-Corinthian style with a richly decorated helmet adorned with a coiled serpent along the bowl and a prominent crest above. The goddess's flowing locks of hair cascade beneath the helmet's cheekpieces. The portrait is rendered in fine relief characteristic of the Hellenistic die-cutting tradition, with delicate facial features and a pronounced profile. The field is smooth and unadorned, with no exergue line or legend on this face.
