Reverse description A lion prowling or crouching to the left in dynamic pose, its mane elaborately rendered with fine incised detail and its mouth open, set within a circular border. Above the lion's back perches an eagle with spread wings facing right, a symbol of royal authority. A radiate star with multiple pointed rays occupies the upper left field. The abbreviation BA in Greek characters appears to the upper right within the field, denoting the title of king (Basileus).
