1/3 Stater - Eunostos

Beschrijving voorzijde	Laureate and draped bust of Apollo facing left, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with wavy hair bound by a laurel wreath and a short drapery visible at the truncation. The facial features are modelled with naturalistic delicacy, characteristic of Cypriot coinage of the late fourth century BC. The field is plain, and the flan is irregular as typical of hammered ancient gold coinage. The monogram EY appears in the field, serving as the abbreviated ethnic or royal identifier for Eunostos, the dynast of Soloi.

Beschrijving keerzijde	Draped bust of Aphrodite facing right, her hair elaborately arranged and adorned with a stephane or palm-leaf headdress, rendered in a refined Hellenistic engraving style consistent with Cypriot dynastic coinage. The neck and upper chest show light drapery at the truncation. The Greek letters BA appear in the left field, serving as an abbreviation for Basileos (King), referencing the royal authority of the issuing dynast. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show the characteristic texture of hammered gold.
