Obverse description Boeotian shield depicted in high relief at center, rendered with characteristic concave boss and lateral cutouts on either side. The shield's convex central umbo dominates the field, surrounded by the distinctive curved rim with incised notches at the flanks. The design is boldly modeled, emphasizing the three-dimensional form of the shield, a hallmark of Boeotian coinage of this period. The entire device is contained within a plain circular border.
