| Obverse description | Boeotian shield depicted in high relief at center, rendered with characteristic concave boss and lateral cutouts on either side. The shield's convex central umbo dominates the field, surrounded by the distinctive curved rim with incised notches at the flanks. The design is boldly modeled, emphasizing the three-dimensional form of the shield, a hallmark of Boeotian coinage of this period. The entire device is contained within a plain circular border. |

| Reverse description | Amphora (oinochoe-style krater) depicted in profile at center, with elegantly scrolled handles rising above the shoulder, set upon a short stem and foot. To the left of the amphora, a thyrsus or stalk of grain is visible in the field. The magistrate's name inscription E-XE (ΕΧΕ, for the official Eche) is divided across the field, with E to the left and XE to the right of the central device. The design is executed in fine incuse relief within an irregularly shaped flan, consistent with Theban coinage of the early fourth century BC. |
