| Obverse description | Boeotian shield rendered in high relief at center, its characteristic cut-outs clearly delineated on either side, set within a slightly concave circular field. The shield's convex boss dominates the design, exhibiting the typical hammered fabric of early fourth-century Greek coinage. The surface displays a naturalistic, unadorned treatment consistent with the civic coinage of Thebes. No legend or additional devices appear on the obverse. |

| Reverse description | An amphora with volute handles depicted in profile at center of a shallow incuse square, rendered with fine engraving characteristic of Boeotian coinage of the period. The vessel rests on a narrow foot and displays a ribbed body with elegantly curved handles rising above the rim. To the left of the amphora appears the letter epsilon (E), and to the right the letters chi-epsilon (XE), together forming the magistrate's name abbreviation ECHE. The design occupies the full field within the incuse depression. |
