Obverse description Boeotian shield rendered in high relief at center, its characteristic cut-outs clearly delineated on either side, set within a slightly concave circular field. The shield's convex boss dominates the design, exhibiting the typical hammered fabric of early fourth-century Greek coinage. The surface displays a naturalistic, unadorned treatment consistent with the civic coinage of Thebes. No legend or additional devices appear on the obverse.

Reverse description An amphora with volute handles depicted in profile at center of a shallow incuse square, rendered with fine engraving characteristic of Boeotian coinage of the period. The vessel rests on a narrow foot and displays a ribbed body with elegantly curved handles rising above the rim. To the left of the amphora appears the letter epsilon (E), and to the right the letters chi-epsilon (XE), together forming the magistrate's name abbreviation ECHE. The design occupies the full field within the incuse depression.
