Obverse description Boeotian shield rendered in high relief at center, its characteristic cut-outs clearly delineated on either side, set within a slightly concave circular field. The shield's convex boss dominates the design, exhibiting the typical hammered fabric of early fourth-century Greek coinage. The surface displays a naturalistic, unadorned treatment consistent with the civic coinage of Thebes. No legend or additional devices appear on the obverse.
