| Description de l’avers | Lion standing right in profile, head lowered and turned back to lick its raised forepaw, rendered in a bold archaic style characteristic of Cypriot coinage. A double-axe (labrys) appears in the upper field above the lion's back, while a floral ornament occupies the lower field beneath the animal. The overall composition is contained within a square incuse punch, typical of early Cypriot silver issues. The lion's musculature and mane are depicted with careful detail, reflecting the artistic conventions of the early Classical period. |

| Description du revers | Phrixos, depicted nude, shown in a vigorous running pose to the left with his body in three-quarter view. His right arm is thrown around the neck or back of a ram leaping to the left, evoking the mythological scene of his flight on the golden ram. A double-axe (labrys) is placed in the lower field beneath the figures. The scene is executed in an incuse square and displays the dynamic figural style associated with Cypriot silver coinage of the early Classical period. The combination of the Phrixos myth with local Cypriot iconographic symbols is distinctive to the coinage of Marion under King Doxandros. |
