Reverse description The satrap Datames depicted seated on a throne to the right, wearing a tiara and richly draped garments, holding a sceptre or long staff upright in his right hand. A winged figure or eagle symbol appears in the upper right field. Aramaic legend runs vertically along the left side of the field. The design is contained within a beaded border, executed in the fine Achaemenid hammered style typical of Cilician coinage of the period.
