Obverse description Boeotian shield depicted facing, rendered in high relief with a deeply convex central boss and characteristic curved cutouts at either side. The shield fills the flan, its distinctive scalloped outline forming the natural border of the design. The surface exhibits the characteristic hammered texture of early fourth-century Boeotian coinage, with the incuse technique lending a bold, sculptural quality to the device.
