| Beschrijving keerzijde | Stylized horse with an aviform (bird-like) head galloping to the right, executed in the abstract Celtic La Tène style. A vexillum standard appears in front of the horse, serving as a characteristic field element of this Coriosolitan series. Above the horse's back, the vestigial remains of a charioteer's head are visible, reduced to a schematic ornamental motif. Between the legs of the horse, a boar is depicted facing right, a recurring heraldic symbol on Armorican coinage. The reverse composition reflects the progressive stylistic abstraction of the Classical Greek stater prototype from which this type ultimately derives. |
