| Obverse description | Highly stylised Celtic abstract design derived from a degraded laureate head, rendered in the characteristic late Iron Age British artistic tradition. The field is filled with a dynamic arrangement of pellets, crescents, scrolls, and curvilinear motifs distributed across the flan, conveying the highly abstracted vestige of a classical prototype. A prominent central boss or pellet grouping occupies the upper field, flanked by sweeping arc and lune forms. The entire composition is executed in bold, confident relief characteristic of Atrebatic die-cutters. No legend or inscription is present. |
