Obverse description Bare head of Augustus facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic portrait style with naturalistic facial features and closely cropped hair. The portrait is bold and well-centred within the coin's irregular flan, occupying the majority of the obverse field. No legend or inscription is present on this side, the portrait alone serving as the primary design element. The overall execution reflects the hybrid Greco-Roman artistic tradition characteristic of Bosporan royal coinage of the early imperial period.
