A monogram of King Aspurgus appears to the left of the portrait in the field. The Pontic era date ВΚΤ (322, corresponding to 26 AD) is placed below the neck truncation. The reverse lettering ΒΑΡ, abbreviating the royal title, appears in association with the ruler's name, affirming the Bosporan dynastic authority.
