Obverse description Bare head of Augustus facing right, rendered in a classical Hellenistic portrait style with naturalistic curly hair framing the face. The effigy displays fine engraving characteristic of early Bosporan royal coinage produced under Roman influence. The portrait is set within a plain circular field without surrounding legend, conforming to the conventions of this series. The neck is truncated cleanly at the base, with no drapery or paludamentum visible.
