| Beschrijving keerzijde | Nike, the goddess of victory, stands to the left in a graceful posture, her drapery rendered in flowing lines typical of early Hellenistic engraving. She holds a wreath in her extended left hand and a stylis (ship's steering oar) in her right hand. The royal legend ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ is disposed in the field, identifying the issuer as King Antiochos. In the lower left field appears the monogram ΚΡ, and in the lower right the monogram ΦΑΝ, the latter likely denoting the mint official or mint of Susa. |
