Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena in right profile, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head and adorned with a coiled serpent on the bowl and a flowing horsehair plume cascading to the left. The goddess's facial features are rendered in fine Hellenistic style, with delicate modeling of the cheek and chin. Loose curling locks of hair emerge from beneath the helmet and fall around the neck. The coin field is plain, with no legend or inscription on the obverse.
