Obverse description Head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet adorned with a prominent coiled serpent on the bowl and a large flowing crest of feathers sweeping dramatically to the left. The goddess's visage is rendered in fine Hellenistic style with naturalistic facial features, flowing locks of hair visible beneath the helmet's cheek guards. The field is plain and uninscribed, with no legend present on this side. The overall execution reflects the high artistic standards of the early Alexandrine coinage.
