| Beschrijving keerzijde | Schematic and heavily stylized barbarian imitation of the winged Nike standing, derived from the reverse type of the gold stater of Alexander III of Macedon. The figure is rendered frontally in a highly degenerate form, with the body reduced to a bold triangular or columnar torso with two outstretched wing-like arms flanking the central motif. The head is represented by a crescent or bifurcated arc above the body, and the surrounding field contains scattered pellets replacing the original wreath and inscription elements. The entire design reflects the progressive abstraction typical of Celto-Scythian coinage in the Pontic steppe region, with no legible inscription present. |
