Reverse description A schematized frontal figure with broadly outstretched appendages rendered as large wing-like projections, derived from the original Kolchis stater reverse type but reduced to an abstract, geometric form. The head of the figure is replaced by a bucranium motif, reflecting a Celtic reinterpretation of the Hellenistic prototype. Three pellets are disposed symmetrically in the upper left and upper right of the field, with additional pellets completing the design. The overall composition is deeply barbarized, with bold, simple relief forms characteristic of Celto-Scythian hammered gold coinage.
