Reverse description Nike, the goddess of victory, stands facing left in a graceful three-quarter pose, her wings partially spread behind her. In her extended right hand she holds a wreath, and in her lowered left hand she carries a stylis (naval sternpost). A coiled serpent is depicted below her left wing in the lower left field, and the control letter N appears below her right wing. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right and lower fields, identifying this as a royal issue in the name of Alexander.
