| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing head of the nymph Larissa rendered in three-quarter view, her hair elaborately arranged in loose, flowing curls tumbling about her face and neck, with two serpentine locks framing each side of the face. The effigy is executed in the fine Thessalian style characteristic of the mid-fourth century BC, displaying softly modeled facial features with parted lips and a serene expression. The design is enclosed within a beaded border, with the broad, flat flan allowing full expression of the high-relief sculptural work. No inscription appears on the obverse. |
