| Reverse description | Helmeted head of Athena in profile to right, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head, the cheekpieces framing the face; the goddess's features are rendered with fine artistry typical of early fourth-century Corinthian coinage. A retrograde sigma (Σ) appears to the left of the neck in the field, functioning as a secondary control mark. A dolphin is depicted diagonally in the upper field, oriented downward to the right, serving as an additional control symbol. The reverse is struck within a slightly concave incuse field, a hallmark of Corinthian stater production of this period. |
