Reverse description Nike, the winged goddess of victory, depicted in a dynamic kneeling-running pose (knielauf) facing left, her large, finely articulated wings spread prominently behind her. She is lightly draped, with the garment falling about her lower body, and holds a long staff or sceptre vertically in her right hand while resting her left hand on her knee. The figure is set against a plain field with no exergue, and the composition fills the flan with exceptional sculptural quality characteristic of the Terina mint's finest issues.
