| Beschrijving voorzijde | Nude ephebic rider seated sideways upon a prancing horse moving to right, holding the reins in his raised left hand and a goad in his right; the figure is depicted in the act of preparing to dismount and run alongside the horse, a scene characteristic of the apobates tradition. The musculature of both horse and rider is rendered with fine attention to naturalistic detail in the Classicising style of Cilician coinage. The field is plain, with no border or legend. |

The reverse type is a longstanding civic symbol of the city. |
