| Obverse description | Pegasos in full flight to the left, rendered with fine detail in the feathers of the outstretched wings and musculature of the body; the forelimbs are extended forward and the hindlimbs trail beneath the curling tail. The koppa (Ϙ), the archaic letter serving as the mint control symbol for Corinth, appears in the lower left field beneath the figure. The flan is broad and irregular, characteristic of early fourth-century Corinthian coinage, with the type occupying nearly the full surface. |
