Reverse description A draped standing female figure, identified as the nymph Kyrene, faces slightly right in three-quarter view, her right arm raised and holding a long sceptre or spear; she is rendered in fine Classical style with detailed drapery falling to her feet. To her right stands a small figure of a silphium plant or a young deity, possibly Apollo, rendered frontally. The ethnic legend ΚΥΡΑΝΑΙΩΝ runs vertically along the left field within a dotted border encircling the entire design.
