| Obverse description | Eagle displayed in flight to left, with wings outstretched and prominently rendered feathering across the body and wing surfaces. The bird's head is turned to face right, with a sharply hooked beak and finely detailed facial features. The powerful talons are visible beneath the body. The design is rendered in high relief with strong artistic modelling characteristic of Cretan coinage of the early Hellenistic period. The field is plain, with no legend or border. |
