| Obverse description | The winged horse Pegasus depicted in full flight to the left, rendered with exceptional sculptural relief typical of Corinthian die-cutting artistry. The creature's powerful musculature is finely articulated, with large outstretched wings prominently displayed above the body and all four legs extended in a dynamic galloping posture. The archaic Corinthian magistrate's symbol, the koppa (Ϙ), appears in the lower field beneath the body of Pegasus, serving as a mint control mark. The flan is irregular and slightly spread, consistent with hammered silver coinage of this period. |

| Reverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing left, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head, rendered in fine archaic-to-classical transitional style with careful attention to facial features and helmet cresting. The numeral or control letter iota (Ι) appears below the chin in the field. To the right of Athena's neck, a small owl is depicted standing to the right with head facing forward, a symbol closely associated with Athena and used as a secondary control mark on this series. The reverse die is incuse in the characteristic Corinthian fashion, with a smooth background field framing the principal devices. |
