The bowl of the helmet is prominently rendered with a smooth dome, and a decorative element appears on the crest. To the left behind the neck, the figure of Pan is depicted in small scale, serving as a secondary symbol identifying the Ambracian civic type. The letters HA and A appear in the lower field below the bust, forming the partial ethnic inscription. The portrait exhibits refined workmanship consistent with the engravers of northwest Greek mints in the early fourth century BC. |
