Reverse description A quadripartite incuse square divided into four equal recessed compartments by a raised cross, the result of the punch technique used in early Greek hammered coinage. The four sections show irregular granular texture from the anvil strike, with no additional devices, symbols, or inscriptions present. This standardised incuse reverse is characteristic of archaic electrum issues from the Propontic mint of Kyzikos.
