| Obverse description | Griffin seated right with raised left forepaw, rendered in fine archaic style upon an ornamented ground line; a swan standing right occupies the right field. The griffin, emblematic civic type of Teos, is depicted with detailed wing feathering and alert posture, characteristic of Ionian engraving of the mid-fifth century BC. |

| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square divided into four equal recessed compartments by broad raised bands crossing at right angles, forming a symmetrical mill-sail or windmill pattern. The incuse is deeply struck with a slightly raised border, consistent with early classical Ionian hammered coinage technique. The surface of each quadrant shows characteristic die-flow texture typical of fifth-century BC silver staters. |
