Reverse description The forepart of Pegasus, the winged horse, depicted in vigorous three-quarter rearing posture to the right, occupying the full extent of the coin's field. The musculature of the chest and forelegs is rendered with pronounced plasticity, while the large, elaborately striated wing rises dramatically above the body and curls forward at its upper tip. The tail is swept to the left with a flowing, feathered treatment. No legend or mint mark appears in the field, consistent with the uninscribed coinage of Lampsakos during this period.
