| Obverse description | Forepart of a bearded goat's head rendered in profile facing left, executed in fine archaic relief. To the right of the goat's head, a tunny fish is depicted vertically, oriented upward, serving as the civic badge of Kyzikos. The devices are set against a plain, unlettered field with no border, consistent with the early archaic coinage tradition of the city. The style is characteristic of Kyzikene electrum staters of the late sixth century BC, with naturalistic but stylized rendering of the animal forms. |

| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square of the mill-sail or windmill type, divided into four recessed compartments by raised bands meeting at the center, as visible on the coin. The incuse is deeply struck and irregular in outline, consistent with early archaic hammered coinage technique. The four quadrants display varying surface textures resulting from the punch strike. No inscription, legend, or additional device is present. This standard incuse reverse is typical of electrum coinage from Kyzikos and other western Anatolian mints of the sixth century BC. |
