Obverse description Standing female figure, likely Athena or a local goddess, depicted in full length facing slightly right, wearing a helmet, chiton, and himation. She extends her right hand forward, upon which a small Nike or bird figure perches with wings spread. A large coiled serpent rises from the ground at her feet to the left, while a long spear or sceptre is held vertically in her left hand. Additional information

The fourth century BC Aegean world produced dozens of minor minting authorities whose identities remain genuinely contested — weight standards, die links, and hoard findspots are often the only tools available, and they don't always agree. A 10.66g silver stater sits comfortably within the Phoenician standard, which narrows the field but hardly resolves it.

Hoard evidence from this period, particularly the Nablus and Demanhur hoards, has reshuffled attributions repeatedly since the nineteenth century.
