| Beschrijving keerzijde | Apollo standing left in full figure, his right hand extended over a flaming altar as he performs a sacrificial libation, while holding a long sceptre and a laurel branch in his left hand. A crow — a bird sacred to Apollo — is depicted at his feet near the base of the altar. A partial inscription in the archaic Pamphylian alphabet appears to the right of the figure, though the legend is incompletely legible due to the irregular flan. The scene reflects the strong Apolline religious tradition of the Pamphylian region during the 4th century BC. |
