| 正面描述 | Crab depicted in high relief, seen from above in a fully frontal dorsal view, filling the entire field; the carapace is rendered with naturalistic detail, with eight articulated legs splayed symmetrically to either side and two prominent chelae extending upward. The design is boldly executed in the archaic style characteristic of late 6th-century BC island Greek coinage, with no inscription or border. The crab served as the principal civic emblem of Kos and appears as the dominant type throughout the island's early coinage. |

| 背面描述 | Two incuse square punches of differing sizes sunk into the plain reverse, the larger punch to the right divided diagonally into four triangular compartments in a mill-sail or windmill pattern with rough irregular surfaces, and a smaller plain square punch to the left. This double incuse reverse is characteristic of early archaic Greek hammered silver coinage, serving as the countermark of the anvil die during striking. The fields within the punches show the rough texture typical of the period. |
