| Obverse description | Bearded male head in right profile, rendered in fine archaic-to-classical Greek style with naturalistic musculature and expressive detail. The figure wears a laurel or reed wreath, with the hair depicted in flowing waves falling to the neck. The beard is rendered with careful parallel striations, conveying both volume and texture characteristic of fifth-century Kyzikene electrum coinage. The bust is truncated at the shoulder, presented against a plain, unlettered field. No legend accompanies the type, consistent with the aniconic traditions of Kyzikene stater production. |
