Obverse description Pegasus in flight to the left, rendered with finely detailed outstretched wings and muscular body; the foreleg is raised and the hindquarters taper into a curled tail. The mythological creature is depicted in the canonical Corinthian tradition, occupying the full breadth of the flan. The letter Λ (lambda), the civic initial of Leukas, appears in the upper left field. The relief is bold and the engraving confident, characteristic of the Corinthian colonial stater series.
