| Beschrijving voorzijde | Pegasus in flight to the left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed feathered wings spread upward, forelegs extended and hindquarters powerfully drawn. The winged horse, symbol of Corinth, occupies the full field of the flan in the characteristic Corinthian bridle-type convention. Below the body of Pegasus appears the Corinthian koppa symbol (Ϙ) within a circular incuse, serving as a mint control mark. The artistic style is vigorous and naturalistic, consistent with the mature Classical period of Greek coin engraving. |
