| Opis rewersu | The reverse presents a quadripartite incuse square of the mill-sail or windmill type, divided into four rectangular compartments alternately raised and sunken, creating a distinctive recessed geometric pattern typical of early Greek electrum coinage. The incuse is deeply struck and slightly off-centre on the irregular flan, with a rough, granular surface texture within the recessed sections. No legend or subsidiary devices are present. This standard incuse reverse is characteristic of Kyzikene staters throughout their production from the late archaic through the early Hellenistic period. |
