| Obverse description | Pegasus in full flight to the left, rendered in fine archaic-to-early classical style with fully extended wings, the feathers meticulously engraved. The winged horse is depicted with all four legs outstretched in a galloping attitude, the musculature of the body modelled with considerable skill. A small curling bridled head with a flowing mane is visible, and the tail curves upward. The figure occupies the full flan against a plain, slightly incuse field. |
