| 正面描述 | Facing gorgoneion (Gorgon mask) depicted full face, rendered in the Archaic style characteristic of late 6th- to early 5th-century BCE coinage of the Lesbian cities. The grotesque visage features bulging round eyes, a broad flat nose, and a wide open mouth with protruding tongue, flanked by serpentine coils curling outward at either side of the head. The brow is surmounted by a diadem-like band adorned with scrolling volutes and spiral ornaments rendered in low relief. The design fills the irregularly rounded flan, with no legend or inscription present in the field. |

| 背面描述 | Incuse square punch of quadripartite design, divided by a raised cross into four recessed compartments, each of roughly equal size, characteristic of the mill-sail or windmill incuse type commonly employed on early Archaic Greek coinage. The central raised intersection of the cross forms a small boss. The square incuse is set within a broad, slightly convex, and granular field typical of hammered billon fabric of this period. No legend or additional device is present. |
