Reverse description The reverse presents two incuse squares of differing sizes produced by the hammer punch, a characteristic feature of early Greek coinage. The larger square dominates the left portion of the field and is subdivided into irregular compartments by raised ridges, while the smaller square to the right is more regularly divided into four quadrants. Both impressions are deeply recessed into the fabric of the flan, consistent with archaic hammered technique.
