Obverse description Pegasus in full flight to the left, rendered in vigorous relief with wings raised and forelegs extended. The musculature of the body is well articulated in the Corinthian tradition. A monogram, likely combining the letters AN as the civic identifier of Anaktorion, appears in the lower field beneath the creature.

Reverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing left, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the crown of the head, with a prominent cheekpiece and bowl visible in profile. The goddess's facial features are rendered with fine detail, including a well-defined eye, lips, and chin. Behind the head, in the left field, a sprig of laurel or olive and an amphora-like symbol appear as subsidiary devices, characteristic of Akarnanian civic coinage.
