| Obverse description | Facing Boeotian shield rendered in high relief, its characteristic double-curved cutouts at left and right clearly defined. The shield's convex boss dominates the field, surrounded by a slightly irregular incuse border typical of hammered coinage of the late fifth century BC. The surface exhibits the bold, sculptural modelling associated with Theban silver issues of this period. |
