Obverse description Facing left, the wreathed head of Tanit rendered in fine Hellenistic style, her flowing hair swept back and elaborately dressed with a grain-ear wreath or laurel ornament above the brow. The facial features are delicately modeled with a serene, idealized expression characteristic of late Punic coinage. The neck is bare, and the design fills the flan with confident, high-relief workmanship. No legend or inscription is present in the field.

Reverse description A horse standing to the right, rendered in profile with naturalistic detail; the animal is depicted with its head slightly raised and tail flowing. A palm tree appears to the upper right of the horse, a characteristic Carthaginian reverse symbol evoking the Phoenician homeland. The design is set on a plain exergual line, with no surrounding legend. The composition is typical of Punic military coinage issued during the Second Punic War period.
