Obverse description Aphrodite seated left on a high-backed throne, her figure draped, holding a phiale in her extended right hand. A winged Nike flies rightward at left, reaching forward to crown the goddess. Beneath the throne, a mouse is depicted walking left, serving as a cult attribute. The composition is characteristic of the refined Cilician engraving tradition of the early fourth century BC.
