| Obverse description | Pegasos, the winged horse of Corinthian civic iconography, depicted in flying gallop to the left, with large, finely detailed outstretched wings and forelegs raised. The figure is rendered in high relief with careful attention to musculature and feather articulation. Below the body of Pegasos, the koppa (Ϙ), the archaic Corinthian letter serving as the city's mint symbol, appears in the lower field. The composition fills the flan with confident, monumental style characteristic of the Corinthian mint in the mid-fourth century BC. |

The bowl of the helmet is large and plain, with a prominent cheekpiece. Flowing locks of hair emerge from beneath the helmet, rendered as a mass of wavy strands cascading down the neck.
