Reverse description Helmeted head of Athena in left-facing profile, rendered in high relief with finely engraved features characteristic of the Corinthian die-cutting tradition. The goddess wears a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head, revealing her face in three-quarter view; the cheekpieces are clearly delineated and the bowl of the helmet is smooth and rounded. Her hair falls in flowing locks beneath the helmet rim at the nape of the neck. A small axe symbol is depicted in the field to the left behind the head, serving as a die-control mark specific to this issue. The field is otherwise plain.
